Wild Thorns is an elegant fictional portrayal of everyday life in Palestine under the Israeli occupation. Usama, a young man returning to his hometown in Palestine, discovers that his relatives have adjusted to life under military rule: they have been brainwashed with lies and Israeli cash. Usama and his friends, however, cannot be so easily swayed, and they begin to plan to fight back.
