The Melkite Pastoral Center is an initiative of the Melkite Catholic Church and its members to provide opportunities for the women of Ramallah to earn income that can help their families afford school fees, medical expenses and clothing in a community that sufferes from high rates of unemployment and imprisonment. The center provides women with a salary and the materials they need to work from home. The products are inspired by traditional designs that decorate Palestinian women's dresses, and symbolically represent the hills, trees, and flowers of the country.
