of hip-hop and spoken word, dedicated to the youth of Palestine, “Free the P” is a compact
disk of political poetry and music by Palestinian, Arab-American
and other sympathetic voices including Dam and PR, who are making
waves in Palestine, renowned Palestinian poet Suheir Hammad, Iron
Sheik, Son of Nun, and of course, The Philistines themselves. Proceeds
go toward the production of “Slingshot Hip-Hop,” Jackie
Salloum’s forthcoming movie on the genre. |
