The American Educational Trust Library Endowment is a non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization incorporated in Washington, DC. The Library Endowment provides
subscriptions to the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs and quality
Middle East-related books to libraries across the United States.
Currently more than
3200 libraries receive the Washington Report, the majority of their subscriptions
being donated by the magazine's subscribers through the AET Library Endowment.
In conjunction with
the Library Endowment, the AET Book Club offers a 12-title package of
books (see the list in the column at right) and a subscription to the
Washington Report that can be donated to libraries at a fraction of the
list price of the individual titles.
Individuals who would
like to donate book and magazine packages can do so for $54 each, $25
for the book package (which includes shipping and handling charges), and
$29 for a one-year gift subscription to the Washington Report. All donations
to the AET Library Endowment are fully tax-deductible and qualify for
matching contributions by employers who match donations made by their
employees.
Donations can be
made to specific libraries, provided the library will put the magazine
and all of the titles in general circulation. General donations also can
be made directly to the AET Library Endowment (federal tax ID# 52-1460362).
These donations are given to the Library Endowment's growing list of libraries
who have requested the book packages and to help defray the cost of renewing
previously donated one-year subscriptions to the Washington Report.
All of the money
donated to the Library Endowment is used solely for library book packages
and gift subscriptions. No administrative costs, including salaries, are
paid from the fund.
If you would like
to donate a library book package, or a subscription to the Washington
Report on Middle East Affairs to a library, or would like to make a tax-deductible
contribution to the AET Library Endowment, please call the AET Book Club
at 1-800-368-5788, ext. 3.
