| Musical score for the lauded dance troop’s performance of the same name. A folk troupe perfoming dance, music and song, El-Funoun was founded in 1979. Their mission was to revive regional folklore as a form of Palestinian identity. This has evolved into a movement incorporating these arts into contemporary compositions expressing the Palestinian struggle for liberation. Based on traditional material, this CD is a modern interpretation of a Palestinian wedding. |
